Fort Caspar Museum has never been just a museum about the fort: rather, it is a museum that features central Wyoming history and also happens to have a fort – the namesake for the City of Casper. Our mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history of Fort Caspar, the City of Casper, Natrona County, and central Wyoming.
We are undertaking this new project to build an addition on to the museum that will feature the history of downtown Casper and many of the businesses that operated there. We hope to highlight objects and stories from businesses from Casper’s earliest beginnings into the 1970s. Prominent community members are supporting this project, but we need your help to make this happen.
The centerpiece of this new addition will be objects from the historic Tripeny Drug Store. Tripeny Drug began in 1921 and served Casper for the next 50 years.
The Fort Caspar Museum Association is proud to be supporting this project, and we could use your help! You can donate through one of the Paypal buttons below, or mail a check to the museum at: Fort Caspar Museum, 4001 Fort Caspar Road; Casper, WY 82604
All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Fort Caspar Museum Association is a recognized 501c3.
